Link Motion at the International Suppliers Fair (IZB)

Tampere – 16 October 2018 Link Motion, a technology company developing secure connected carputers, is launching its next-generation automotive computing platform at the International Suppliers Fair (IZB) in Wolfsburg, Germany, from 16th to 18th of October (booth 1205A in Hall 1).

The company’s flagship carputer, the Motion T, runs on NXP’s i.MX8 multi-OS platform to ensure the automotive-grade reliability, world-class performance and optimized power efficiency. For superior digital experiences, the carputer offers advanced graphics across four in-car HD displays and cutting-edge entertainment features. Furthermore, the carputer supports connectivity features on Microsoft’s cloud platform for connected vehicle solutions, including over-the-air software and firmware updates, telemetry and diagnostics data and secure remote access

“The novel Motion T digital cockpit carputer is taking in-vehicle computing to the next level, strengthening its position as the most secure connected carputer in the world”, said Jouni Mikkonen, Managing Director. “Built around the industry-leading i.MX8 system-on-chip (SoC), the Motion T can now deliver immersive, multi-display graphics content”.

The Motion T integrates the most essential functionality from the electronic control units (ECUs) into one powerful carputer. The Motion T’s modular design allows it to meet diverse customer needs and optimises the cost-efficiency between different carputer variants. The carputer can be tailored to fit perfectly in various applications in the transportation industry, with engineering conducted in collaboration with Link Motion’s team of experts.
